Documentaries, 2.
I’ve watched a plethora of documentaries today and I figured I’d share them since I thought they were all pretty fascinating in they’re own ways.
- Please Vote for Me: A third grade class in China holds a democratic election for the position of Class Monitor.
- Love in India: Explores the dichotomy of India’s view sex (i.e., traditional v. progressive societal sexuality).
- The Lottery: Families vying for limited spots at Harlem Success Academy, a public charter school in NY.
- Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price: Big business destroying small towns (fun fact - there was a section of the morality class I had to take in high school that watched this - it all makes sense now).
- Babies: Growing up around the world (USA, Africa, Mongolia, and Japan).
- Orgasm, Inc.: Questioning the true existence of Female Sexual Dysfunction, and not just made up by pharmaceutical companies to gain profit.
- Edie & Thea: A Very Long Engagement: A lesbian couple together for 42 years finally gets married.
- Modify: Delves into the world of extreme body modification (tattoos, piercings, implants, etc.).
All of these are on Netflix, so definitely check them out if you can!
